Misioneros del Camino | Nutritional Ward

Nutritional Ward

Due to the increasing number of children who die annually from malnutrition and related causes in Guatemala, Misioneros Del Camino opened a nutritional ward for malnourished children. Here the children can spend three to six months until they recover nutritionally. After recovering, these children are returned to their families. A follow-up program is established as well as nutritional training to their parents. The only way these children can stay healthy is teaching their mothers how to best feed their children with the resources available to them. There is much poverty in Guatemala but many deaths are caused by ignorance.
